Review: The A-Team

In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if nobody else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.

Today in 2010, the newest rendition of the A-Team is an over the top action flick that comes up a bit short to the charms of the original series. Sure, it’s a great action flick when it comes to outragous scenes (a tank in mid-air vs a aircraft), but that’s honestly all it has going for it. There’s very little chemistry between any of the main characters, and frankly they try too hard to emulate the original rather than making the film something truely unique. Overall, it’s a fun action film that you may enjoy so long as you don’t take it too seriously.
